Kili Kaninau & Sanoe Kaaihue will present important information on domestic violence, teen dating violence, and healthy relationships for the organization, Women Helping Women, at Akakū Upstairs on Thursday, October 17, 2019.
The goal for this presentation is to give a better understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence, how it affects families, what can be done as a community for awareness and prevention, and how to have healthy relationships. Our hope is that the audience will know the signs of abuse and how to help the ones they love and their community.
Domestic violence can affect anyone and does not discriminate based on race, religion, social standing, and sexual orientation. It affects people from all walks of life. Prevention starts at home in teaching our youth the importance of respect and healthy forms of communication and behavior.
