Rent Services Facilities

Akakū’s solar powered, main media access facilities are located at Akakū Center, 333 Dairy Road, Suite 104, in Kahului. They include administrative offices; a TV and radio studio; an audio recording booth; several portable studio units; field camera packages; mobile video kits; post production; Live U cellular bonding broadcast systems; DVD duplication facilities; a Mac-based media lab and screening room; a master control playback system; a new convening space, and a wired conference room that can accommodate up to twenty people.

CONDITIONS FOR RENTAL AND USE OF AKAKŪ FACILITIES

Requirements To Hold Room:

Your room reservation is confirmed after speaking with the facilities coordinator.

Cleaning/Security Deposit

A deposit of $50.00 is required. If the room is left in good clean condition, and the equipment is fully operational, the full deposit will be refunded. If the room requires cleaning, or if the room or equipment requires repair due to negligence on behalf of the rental party, a portion or all of the deposit will be retained by Akakū. The rental party shall be responsible if damages or repairs that exceed the $50.00 cleaning/security deposit.

Final Settlement

A final statement will be presented to you. Payment is due at the conclusion of your event. The statement will reflect the total charges less deposit with General Excise Tax added.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be in writing and received 48 hours prior to the event date for full refund. Without a 48 hour notice, security deposit will not be refunded.

Operational Conditions:
  1. Business Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm.
  2. Subletting room is not permitted.
  3. No outside equipment may be used without prior written consent of Akakū.
  4. Smoking is prohibited.
  5. The consumption of alcohol beverages is prohibited.
